Wentworth-Douglass Hospital offers a wide range of healthcare services including acute care, disease management and wellness programs.
"We would like to thank the staff of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital for the compassionate and effective care given our son. When our son was rushed to the emergency room on a recent weekend, Dr. Kolm and Jen, the ER nurse saw to it he was diagnosed promptly.
When it was determined he needed emergency surgery, Dr. Evans and Dr. Hay, the Anesthesiologist, were called in the middle of the night from what must have been a sound sleep, the operating room prepped, and our son’s surgery successfully performed.
While all this was very professionally coordinated, our son and ourselves were treated with much compassion and kindness from not only the medical staff, but the ER registration, who because the cafeteria was not yet open, assembled a care package for us and the lady in the cafeteria who single-handedly opened the cafeteria, cooked our breakfast and was also the cashier. This is even more remarkable given the tremendous constraints placed on our healthcare system these days.
The people in the Dover area should be proud of these people and are very fortunate to have them guarding their health."
